Bringing precision and clarity to ADHD treatment for children and families

My contribution: User and customer research | UX strategy | Go to Market strategy.

Background:

Children with ADHD often need highly individualised medication dosing, but existing methods offer little precision and even less adaptability. Ondosis set out to change that with Oysta, an integrated drug-device solution for families, paediatricians, and teachers.

Challenge:

ADHD management involves a complex ecosystem of stakeholders such as children, parents, paediatricians, and educators, each carrying distinct pressures and unique perspectives on the condition. The core challenge was to design a seamless user experience that harmonises these diverse needs without losing sight of the child at the heart of the journey. Achieving this required a profound understanding of the "circle of care" and the intricate dynamics between clinical requirements and daily life of an ADHD family.

Solution:

OYSTA is a digital platform designed for the precision delivery of ADHD medication via an integrated drug-device solution. STAR designed and developed the companion application to the precision dosage device, creating a unified ecosystem that tracks medication adherence and delivers data-driven insights. By connecting patients, parents, and pediatricians in real-time, the platform empowers the care team to find the optimal balance between dosage, symptom control and side effects in order to optimise the titration process.

Outcome.

Oysta earned a 2024 UX Design Award and a 2025 iF Design Award for digital health innovation, and is pending US launch subject to FDA approval — recognised for its user-centred approach to a genuinely complex clinical challenge.
